Do you inventory your items by multiple units? For example, do you keep both blocks and cases of cheese? With our app, you can now keep track of both units without adding a whole new item.
Shortcuts
Some terms you should know:
- Priced Unit
- The primary unit that you count by. This will be at the forefront on your inventory card, and all sub-units will be converted to this unit in your total. It is referred to as “Priced Unit” to clarify that this unit is what is priced by vendors. For example, cheese may be priced by the pound, but ordered by the case.
- Order Unit
- The unit that you order an item by. You may be asked to provide this in addition to your primary priced unit.
- Unit is Variable
- This means that the amount in this unit is always different. For example, if you have a meat item with a primary unit of case and a sub-unit of pounds. If the number of pounds in that case are always different, then pounds are variable.
